Billy Kayser was a 16-year-old Pearl River High School student who died tragically on April 3, 2003.
Billy was an extremely popular member of the community and a talented athlete who was slated to be starting first baseman on his school's varsity team. Billy held many characteristics that attributed to his love of life, sports and people that made him so popular among his friends, teammates, teachers and coaches. His foundation was formed shortly after his passing to promote and develop these same qualities and characteristics within the community's youth. The foundation will award annual grants and/or scholarships to students and athletes that demonstrate the same qualities that Billy's short life exemplified.

As most of you know, the grants and scholarships that are awarded through Billy's Foundation will help to enable kids to continue their academic and athletic pursuits and, hopefully, to do so with the same zest for life that Billy always displayed. In just over a six years, the Foundation has extended this kind of support to sixty four students, and has helped improve playing fields for the greater community. Without the generous support of all of you, these past and future works would simply not be possible. Again, you have our sincere thanks for giving opportunities to our community's kids, and thereby enriching our neighborhoods.

Since his passing, it has often been said that Billy was a light in the lives of so many people he touched. And our family has repeated our hope that Billy will never be forgotten. By continuing to be the loving and supportive friends & neighbors that you are, you have helped to keep his memory strong, and his light shining brightly.
